How to clean a Jura X8

Your Jura X8 machine needs cleaning? Or do you want to clean it before moving?

Good to know

1. Your Jura machine requires cleaning after 180 coffees (preparations) or 80 rinses when it is switched on. You can either wait until the machine asks for a cleaning or force a cleaning by pressing the "P" (programming) button. 
2. Javry recommends the use of Jura or Solute detergent tablets to clean your machine. The use of other products could damage your machine.
3. It is important not to interrupt the cleaning program once it has started, as this could also damage your machine or render it unusable.
4. A cleaning takes about 20 minutes, but it will only take a few minutes of your time (the machine cleans itself).

The steps: cleaning a Jura x8

Once your machine displays "Clean Device",

1. Press the "P" button to start the cleaning program.
2. Click on "Start".
3. Several screens will appear. Press "Next" until your X8 asks to empty the grounds tray.
4. Empty the coffee grounds container and the water container and put them back in their place.
5. The message "cleaning" is displayed. Place a container under the coffee spout and press "continue".
6. The operation will be interrupted and a new message will be displayed: "add tablet". Open the funnel cover (at the back of the machine) and add a Jura or Solute cleaning tablet.
7. Close the lid.
8. Then press the "Next" button (it is important to put the tablet in first and then press "Next"). Water will flow out of the coffee spout and the message "cleaning machine" will be displayed.
9. The operation stops automatically: "Empty the coffee grounds container". It is now time to empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container.
10. Put everything back in place.
11. The cleaning is finished. Have a good coffee ;)
