How to clean a Melitta Caffeo Solo

Is your Melitta Solo machine asking for cleaning? Impeccable hygiene goes hand in hand with incomparable coffee, doesn't it?

Good to know

1. Initiate the automatic cleaning program every 2 months or after approximately 200 cups, or at the latest when the cleaning symbol appears on the display screen.
2. The cleaning process takes approximately 15 minutes in total.
3. Javry recommends using Melitta cleaning tablets to clean your machine. The use of other products may damage your machine.

Written Guide

Start the program:

• Fill the water tank up to the "Max" mark and place it back in its position.
• Press and hold the "Coffee" button and the "On/Off" button simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds. The "Automatic Cleaning" symbol will start flashing, and the drip tray symbol will light up.
• Empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container.
• Put back only the drip tray in its place.
• Position the coffee grounds container under the coffee spout. The machine will rinse twice, and then the "On/Off" button will light up.

Clean the brewing unit:

• Detach the side cover.
• Turn the handle to remove the brewing unit.
• Clean the brewing unit and let it dry.
• Take the cleaning tablet out of its packaging and place it in the brewing unit.
• Reinsert the brewing unit, turn the handle to secure it, and replace the side cover.

Clean the coffee system:

• When the water symbol lights up, fill the water tank up to the "Max" mark and place it back in its position.
• Push the coffee spout downwards.
• Press the "Coffee Intensity" button.
• Wait for 5 minutes.

Rinse the coffee system:

• Empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container when the symbol appears.
• Put back only the drip tray in its place.
• The central coffee bean symbol will flash.
• Position the coffee grounds container under the coffee spout and wait for 5 minutes.

Finish the procedure:

Empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container, and place them back in their original positions.
