How to clean a Jura WE6 ?

Does your Jura WE6 coffee machine need cleaning? Or do you want to clean it before moving?

Good to Know

• Your Jura machine requires cleaning after 180 preparations or 80 rinses upon startup. You can either wait for the machine to prompt for cleaning or force a cleaning by pressing the "P" (programming) button.
• Javry recommends using Jura or Solute cleaning tablets to clean your machine. The use of other products may damage your machine.
• It is important not to interrupt the cleaning program once it has started, as it could damage your machine or render it unusable.
• A cleaning cycle takes approximately 20 minutes, but it will only take a few minutes of your time as the machine cleans itself.

Step by Step Instructions

Once your machine displays "Clean Machine":

1. Press the "P" button to start the cleaning program.
2. Click on "Start."
3. Several screens will appear. Press "Next" until your WE6 prompts you to empty the coffee grounds container.
4. Empty the coffee grounds container and the water container, and put them back in place.
5. The message "Cleaning" will appear. Place a container under the coffee outlet.
6. The operation will pause, and a new message will appear: "Add tablet." Open the cover of the funnel (at the back of the machine) and add a Jura or Solute cleaning tablet.
7. Close the cover.
8. Then press the "Next" button (it is important to place the tablet first and then press "Next"). Water will flow several times from the coffee outlet, and the message "Cleaning machine" will appear.
9. The operation will stop automatically: "Empty coffee grounds container." It's time to empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container.
10. Put everything back in place.
11. The cleaning is complete. Enjoy a good cup of coffee!
