How to clean a Jura Giga X3?

Does your Jura Giga X3 machine need cleaning? Or you want to clean it before moving ? We explain you how to do it here :-)

Good to know

1. Your Jura machine needs to be cleaned after 180 coffees (preparations) or 80 rinses when switched on. 
2. Javry recommends the use of Jura or Solute cleaning tablets to clean your machine. The use of other products could damage your machine.
3. It is important not to interrupt the cleaning program once it has started, as this could also damage your machine or make it unusable.
4. A cleaning takes about 20 minutes, but it will only take a few minutes of your time (the machine cleans itself).

The written guide 

Once your machine displays "Clean machine",

• Press "Clean machine" to start the cleaning program.
• Click on "Cleaning", then on "Start".
• Press "Start" again: "Empty coffee grounds container" is displayed. 
• Empty the coffee grounds container and the water container and replace them.
• The message "Press Rotary Switch" appears. 
• Place a container under the outlet nozzles.
• The operation will stop and a new message will appear: "Insert a detergent tablet". Open the funnel cover (on top, at the back of the machine) and add a cleaning tablet.
• Close the lid.
• The message "Press Rotary Switch" will appear, so click on the switch (it is important to place the tablet first and then press). Water will flow out of the coffee spout several times and the message "cleaning machine" will appear.
• The operation stops automatically: "Empty coffee grounds container". It is now time to empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container.
• Put everything back in place.
• The cleaning is finished and the home screen is displayed. Have a good coffee ;-)
