How to fill the water reservoir of a Jura Giga X8?

Daily maintenance of the machine and hygiene with milk, coffee, and water are essential to ensure a consistently perfect result in the cup, which is why you need to change the water daily.

Milk, carbonated mineral water, or other liquids can damage the water reservoir or the machine, so only use cold tap water to fill the water reservoir of your Jura Giga X8.

1. Open the cover of the water reservoir.
2. Remove the water reservoir and rinse it with cold water.
3. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water and put it back in place.
4. Close the cover of the water reservoir.

How to correctly turn on your Jura Giga X8?

1. Place a container under the combined spout.
2. Open the cover of the On/Off button.
3. Press the On/Off button Q to turn on the Giga X8.
4. Messages will appear in the following order:

"Welcome to JURA"

"Machine heating"

"Machine rinsing"

The system rinsing starts, and the rinsing process stops automatically. Once finished, your Jura Giga X8 is ready for use :)

How to maintain your Jura Giga X8 on a daily basis?

To enjoy your Jura Giga X8 for a long time and ensure consistent coffee quality, you need to maintain your coffee machine daily.

1. Remove the drip tray.
   
2. Empty the coffee grounds container and the drip tray (do this when the machine is turned on. It's the only way to reset the grounds counter).
3. Wash both of them with hot water (you can put them in the dishwasher).
4. Put the coffee grounds container and the drip tray back in place.
5. Rinse the water reservoir with water.
6. Clean the milk system in the combined spout.
7. Remove the milk hose and rinse it thoroughly under water.
8. Disassemble and rinse the combined spout.
9. Wipe the surface of the machine with a clean, damp cloth (e.g., microfiber).

How to properly maintain your Jura Giga X8 coffee machine regularly?

Perform these maintenance actions not daily, but regularly or as needed:

1. For hygiene reasons, we recommend replacing the milk hose and interchangeable milk spout regularly (approximately every 3 months).
2. Clean the interior walls of the water reservoir, for example, with a brush.
3. Milk and coffee residues can accumulate on and under the cup platform. In that case, clean the cup platform.

How does the shutdown of the Jura Giga X8 work?

If you have prepared a coffee specialty, the system will automatically rinse when you turn off your Giga X8.

If you have prepared milk, the machine will also prompt you to clean the milk system. In that case, follow the on-screen instructions, provided the home screen displays it.

1. Place a container under the combined spout.
2. Open the cover of the On/Off button.
3. Press the On/Off button Q. A system rinsing will start and stop automatically, and your Jura Giga X8 will be completely turned off.
