X10 - Descaling

Descaling your machine is part of its maintenance: the Jura builds up scale over time and will automatically request a descaling. In this article, you will find the steps to descale your Jura X10 professional coffee machine.

Good to know

Several important points to keep in mind:

- Be sure to remove the water filter before descaling.

- Once the descaling is complete, empty the water tank and replace the filter.

- Descaling takes 40 minutes, but you do not need to stay near the machine during the process. ;)

- We recommend using Jura or Solute descaling tablets.

Text Guide

WARNING: If a filter is in the tank, remove it!

1. Once your machine indicates it needs "Descaling," press the descaling text button.
2. Press the red button in the center.
3. The duration and instructions will appear: press the top right button.
4. The message "Empty drip tray" will appear.
5. Remove the two trays: drip tray and grounds container.
6. Replace the trays.
7. The screen will request water and cleaner in the tank.
8. Open the lid above the tank.
9. Remove and empty the tank.
10. Pour 500 ml of water into a container.
11. Dissolve three tablets in it.
12. Once dissolved, pour the water into the tank and put it back in place.
13. Place containers under the spouts.
14. Press "next" at the top right.
15. The descaling will start automatically.
16. "Empty drip tray" will appear: repeat steps 5 & 6.
17. Empty the container under the spout and replace it.
18. "Fill water tank" will appear.
19. Empty and thoroughly rinse the tank.
20. Fill it with fresh water.
21. Press "next."
22. "Empty drip tray" will appear: repeat steps 5 & 6.
23. Descaling is complete, and the home screen will reappear.

WARNING: If your machine has a filter, replace it!
