How to clean the WE8 milk system?

To ensure the proper functioning of your milk system, daily maintenance is required.

Good to Know

1. The use of inappropriate detergents can damage the machine and leave residues in the water. We offer JURA and SOLUTE milk system detergents in our online store.
2. Use the provided container for cleaning the system.
3. At the end of the day, if your Cool Control still contains milk, we recommend placing the metal container in the refrigerator overnight. This advice comes from our supplier Bodart to prevent the milk from freezing. When the container is in the fridge, you can turn off the Cool Control.

This guide explains how to clean the milk system with visual instructions.

Step by Step Instructions 

For cleaning the milk system:

1. Press the "P" button.
2. Press the "milk system cleaning" button.
3. Press "start."
4. Press the "next" button.
5. Remove the milk hose from the milk container.
6. Pour the milk system detergent into the provided container up to the lower mark.
7. Then pour water into the container up to the upper mark.
8. Place the provided container under the fine foam frother and connect the hose to it.
9. Once everything is set up, press the "next" button. A message will appear: "Cleaning the milk system." The cleaning of the fine foam frother and milk hose will start.
10. A new message will appear: "Fill with water." Thoroughly rinse the container and pour fresh water into it up to the upper mark.
11. Place the container under the milk spout and reconnect the hose to the container.
12. Press the "next" button: The fine foam frother and hose will be rinsed with fresh water. The process will stop automatically.
