How to replace the filter of your Jura D4?

You have the option to use filters to filter the water used by your machine.

There are two advantages to using these filters:

1. The first is that you will not need to descale as often, if at all. Your machine will operate with healthier water for its mechanism.
2. The second is that the taste of your coffee will be even better.

Good to know

The Jura D4 machine requires Claris Smart filter cartridges (not Claris Pro Smart), which are available on our online store.

Step by step instructions:

As soon as the filter symbol lights up:

1. Open the water tank cover.
2. Remove the water tank and empty it.
3. Open the filter holder and remove the old filter cartridge.
4. Insert a new Claris Smart filter cartridge into the water tank, applying slight pressure.
5. Close the filter holder. It will click into place audibly.
6. Fill the water tank with fresh water and place it back in position.
7. The machine has detected that you have inserted a new filter: the illuminated segment of the selector will light up.
8. Place a container under the hot water spout.
9. Open the selector to the "coffee" position.
10. The illuminated segment of the selector will flash, and water will flow several times from the hot water spout.
11. The filter rinsing will stop automatically, and the illuminated segment of the selector will turn off.
12. Close the selector to the "off" position.
